Wales Value Away at Hungary in Qualifiers
Wales head to Hungary on Tuesday in the hope of picking up a win from their last of two games during this Euro 2020 qualifying period. They come here on the back of a 2-1 loss to Croatia, but there was plenty to like there against far superior opponents and playing Hungary gives them a much better chance of victory. The Welsh are a good side on their day, and look good value here to go to Hungary and come away with three points.
The loss in Croatia was despite a decent performance, especially in the second half after they scored to get back into the game. Croatia have never lost at home in European Championship qualifying, and were strong favourites to beat Wales so there was no shame in that result. It is this kind of game that the Welsh need to win if they are to qualify for Euro 2020 by grabbing the second spot behind Croatia.
Hungary are currently at the top of this qualifying table, but they have played a game more than Wales and they have been playing the lower ranked teams. They are a decent side at this level, but not expected to qualify for the final tournament next summer. That is slightly different to Wales, who do fancy their chances a little, and if Wales are to get through then it is games like this one where they need to take three points.
Hungary vs Wales Betting Tips
There isn’t too much between these two teams, especially in a game like this where Hungary are the home team. However, there is solid value in backing Wales for me, they are a very talented team and will know that this is the kind of game they need to win if they want to get through to the finals next summer.
I’m taking them to win here, take home a vital three points and draw level with Hungary on points, while also having a game in hand. The next few months give Wales a fantastic opportunity to get to the Euro 2020 finals next summer and I am backing them to get off to a great start in what is a very big game here. I saw enough promise from them over the weekend, now they need to put that together and pick up three points here, something I fancy Wales to do.
