Tottenham Good Value to Beat Troubled Madrid
Is there a big football club with more troubles than Real Madrid right now? From the disaster of last season to the summer of uncertainty surrounding Gareth Bale, not a lot has gone right for the Spanish giants recently. They are desperate for a fresh start, though with Bale’s move to China not going through, it seems they will have to wait a little longer for that.
They face Tottenham on Tuesday evening in the Audi Cup, with the winner progressing to Wednesday’s final while the loser will head to the third placed game that take place on the same day. Bayern Munich take on Fenerbahce in the other game, so those two will play these two in some order on Wednesday.
Spurs were beaten in the Champions League final last season, while continuing to hold onto their top four position in the Premier League. They will once again be looking to maintain that, and this summer they have added players to their squad in an attempt to do it. Having said that, much of their play will focus on their current players, can Harry Kane continue to score at a good rate and can they keep hold of Christian Eriksen, who reportedly wants a new challenge.
If Bale continues to look for a way out of Madrid and Eriksen does eventually leave Tottenham, could he end up back at the club where he made a name for himself? That is certainly a back story that adds another element to this game, despite the fact that Bale is not currently with the Madrid squad for these games.
Real Madrid vs Tottenham Betting Tips
Although just a friendly, as the season draws nearer these games are becoming more and more competitive so we should see a good battle between these two. Both teams like to attack too, so that should set us up for an end to end game with plenty of chances.
However, there are a few different things going off in the Real Madrid camp right now that make them worth opposing here. They were beaten comfortably by Atletico Madrid just days ago, and Tottenham could well do the same here.
This should be end to end, and while betting in friendlies can be difficult, Tottenham look good value against their struggling opponents on Tuesday.
