Sheffield United Fancied to Get the Better of Sunderland in EFL Cup
Sheffield United host Sunderland in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night, with the Premier League team looking to remain in this competition at the expense of their League One opponents. This is far from the most important competition in the calendar for United, but with a fair sized squad and players waiting for opportunities who were promoted with them last season from the Championship, they have plenty of options when it comes to who they play here.

Sheffield Wednesday Have Edge in Local Derby
Sheffield Wednesday have made a good start to life in the Championship this season, with three victories and two defeats from their first five games. Although beaten away at Preston at the weekend, this has been a good spell for The Owls. The EFLĀ Cup can often be a very tricky competition for punters to get right due to the amount of changes the teams competing make to their starting eleven’s. Boro Set for EFL Cup Semi Final Berth
Middlesbrough and Burton Albion are the only two non-Premier League clubs remaining in the EFL Cup and they face each other at the quarter final stage. Both will fancy their chances of making it through to the next round, and they know that should they do that, only a two-legged semi final against Premier League opposition will remain before a place in the final at Wembley.
Middlesbrough come into this game as favourites and it is no surprise when you see that they are currently holding onto one of the Championship playoff spots.

The EFL Cup often struggles to get both players and fans excited but there are many reasons why Derby County will be up for the cup on Tuesday night when they travel to Manchester United. The main reason is the clash between the two managers, Frank Lampard has a chance to go up against his old boss and good friend Jose Mourinho, he would love to get oHne over on him I am sure.
I always think that the biggest teams are vulnerable in this competition,
