Attacking Mentality Should Suit Liverpool in First Leg of Champions League Tie
There are few better things in football than a European night at Anfield and you can expect a fantastic atmosphere at the stadium tonight when the club takes on German giants Bayern Munich. Both teams can feel a little unlucky that they have been put together with such a strong opponent at this stage in the tournament, and one of them will be going out a lot earlier than expected because of that. It was Liverpool that finished second in their group to set this tie up,

Tottenham and Dortmund to Play Out Entertaining Wembley Draw
The Champions League is back this week, and on Wednesday night we have the first of three ties that feature English clubs taking on German clubs. Manchester City and Liverpool are the other English clubs involved in these games, but it is Tottenham that take centre stage first, facing up against the current Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday evening at Wembley.
Both clubs will be hoping to progress from this tie, and prior to the draw both of them will have targeted the quarter final stage as where they would like to get to as a minimum this season.

Improving Manchester United to beat PSG
The Champions League is finally back with us this week and when the competition returns we are in the knockout round. 16 teams remain, and many of those hold genuine claims of winning Europe’s premier club competition. Just eight teams will be left after this round, which sees teams take each other on over two legs in what is sure to be an exciting month of football. At this stage the games are split over two weeks,

Manchester City to Round Off Champions League Group with Comfortable Win
Manchester City face Hoffenheim in their final Champions League group game on Wednesday night. City have already qualified for the next round, though they do need to get something from this game if they want to guarantee top spot. Lyon are three points behind City, but they hold the advantage when it comes to the tie breaks, so if Lyon win and City lose, Lyon would go through as group winners and Manchester City would finish second.

Liverpool Set for Another Classic Anfield Night
We have seen a number of special European nights at Anfield over the past few years, and on Tuesday night when Liverpool take on Napoli in their final group game, I think we are going to see another. There is no doubt that the fans will be up for this one, and so will the players, which I think is going to result in a special performance on a special night as Liverpool show their might in both the Champions League and Premier League over the course of a few short days.

Spurs Clash with Inter in Must Win Tie at Wembley
The situation couldn’t be any bigger for Tottenham on Wednesday night, they face Inter Milan in what is a must win game in the Champions League. After a poor campaign in the competition so far, Spurs are on the brink of elimination and need to pull something out of the bag if they are to make it through to the knockout round. The likely scenario is that they will finish third, meaning they will drop into the Europa League knockout round,

United to Continue Good Champions League Form against Young Boys
While their league campaign is so far going far from how it was expected to, Manchester United fans should be pleased with how their team has been performing in the Champions League. They face Young Boys on Tuesday, a team they have already beaten this season away from home, and there was nothing in that game to suggest the Swiss club should be able to cause any problems at Old Trafford when they visit.
While the league is taking centre stage and giving fans the ammunition they want to complain about the way the team is going under boss Jose Mourinho,

Juventus to Ease Past United and Take Control of Group H
One of the big headline games of the Champions League takes place on Wednesday when Manchester United travel to face Juventus. These two are two of the biggest names in European football, although right now they are both trending in different directions.
Juventus are on the up, and making move to try and climb back to the top of the pile in Europe, while United are struggling to make an impact domestically, and they haven’t shown their worth in Europe for a while now.

Tottenham Tackle Impressive PSV Eindhoven
The Champions League is back in our lives next week in a big way, with arguably some of the biggest and most important matches of the competition thus far (for this season, at least). It’s a competition that will forever be viewed as the proving ground of many ‘elite’ top level clubs, in addition to showcasing what teams from slightly smaller divisions around Europe are capable of. That’s the beauty of the UCL and the diversity that it brings,

Spurs Can Pick Up First Champions League Win in Eindhoven
The Champions League hasn’t been kind to Tottenham so far, and they head into week three without a point from their first two games. Losses away at Inter Milan and at home to Barcelona have not made this a ‘must win’ game but it is certainly close to that. There is no doubt that Spurs have the quality to progress into the next round, even from the position they are in at the minute, but they have to start picking some points up soon,

Cristiano Ronaldo to Sink United on Old Trafford Return
If you are looking for the best game of this week’s Champions League fixtures then you are not likely to find a better one than the clash at Old Trafford on Tuesday night between Manchester United and Juventus. The storyline is set for Cristiano Ronaldo to return to Old Trafford once more, though things are a little different this time. United are struggling, and reportedly had the chance to sign Ronaldo this summer, when he moved to Juventus.
