Sheffield Wednesday and Cardiff Set to Play Out Entertaining Draw
Club football returns this weekend and the English Championship kicks back off on Friday night with a game in Wales. Cardiff host Sheffield Wednesday on the returning night, and this has the makings of being a good game. Both teams have started well, and in the case on Wednesday they have started better than people were expecting them to.
Going into the games this weekend, Sheffield Wednesday are up in 8th position, just one point off the playoffs while Cardiff are just below them in 11th, three points behind The Owls and four off the playoffs.
Cardiff come here with just two wins from their last six games, which is not good enough for them to get into the playoffs really. However, they are hard to beat and their loss against West Brom before the international break is the only game they have lost in their last six.
It is not the way that Cardiff are setting up, they are a good side but struggling to find the cutting edge to win games, which is causing them to draw a few.
As far as how this game is going to play out, it looks as though both teams are good enough to hold their own against each other, but is either team good enough to go out and pick up the three points from this game?
Cardiff vs Sheffield Wednesday Betting Tips
Our tip is to back the draw here, but don’t let that make you think that this will be a boring affair. Both teams are good, and know that with a little bit of improvement over the coming games as we head towards Christmas, they do have a chance of making the playoffs.
However, what we see happening here is both teams playing well, but both being unable to break down their opponents enough to actually win the game. It would be no surprise to see both teams score in this one, but ultimately we think they will cancel each other out on Friday night and both take home a point from the game.
Club football is back this weekend and we have some great action taking place in the UK as well as around Europe. Be sure to keep your eye on our football betting tips page to see which teams we think can pick up the win on their return to action.
