Rangers Can Make Home Advantge Count at Ibrox
Rangers are one step away from making the Europa Leauge group stages and they have been handed a winnable tie, which begins tonight when they face Russian side UFA in the first leg in Scotland. If Rangers are to win this tie then they have to take advantage of their home game this week, the trip to Russia will not be easy for them and it is imperative that they take some kind of advantage with them. The bigger the advantage, the more chance they have of qualifying, and I expect them to fight and battle hard tonight, aiming to win the game as easy as they possibly can.
UFA have risen through the ranks in Russia at quite a rate, from the third tier in 2011, gaining promotions and making it to the Premier League where they have been for five seasons now. There is no doubt that there is a great story around this team, and progression to the Europa League group stages would take them to the next level, giving them a degree of European success to add to their domestic triumphs.
They are a little further on domestically than Rangers and have played four games so far. Their most recent game came on Monday, when they were beaten 3-0 althouh they did rest the majority of their first team in that game with the trip to Scotland on their mind. That shows they are going to take this game seriously, and Rangers have to give them the respect they are due, but in Scotland, there is no doubt that Rangers are favourites, and should be too strong for the Russians.
Rangers vs UFA Betting Tips
This is a two legged game, with the winner making the Europa League group stages, so it is a huge game for both clubs. However, the game could be decided in the first leg if Rangers don’t win the game, because I believe they are going to really struggle on their trip to Russia.
Rangers have to win this game, and they know it, which is why I think they are going to go all out and really attack UFA tonight. We have seen them perform well both domestically and in Europe so far, and Steven Gerrard appear to have his team on side and playing well.
For this reason, I am backing Rangers to win this game and take an advantage over to Russia with them for the second leg. They need to do it, they know they need to do it and I am confident that Rangers can deliver. Expect the home crowd to be behind them too, they want more European nights at Ibrox, and the fans know how important this game is. Rangers are very close to making the Europa League group stages, and a win here will bring that dream even closer.
I’m backing Rangers to win tonight, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them win the game by two or three goals as they push to take a big advantage to Russia with them.
