Wolves Set to Continue Europa League Progression
Wolves have two rounds between themselves and the group stages of the Europa League, and they continue their quest to make that round with a trip to Armenia on Thursday evening. They take on minnows Pyunik Yerevan, who have already played two rounds to get to this stage, but this may be as far as they are going to go, coming up against one of the strongest teams in the competition at this stage.
The Armenians have been far from convincing in the first two rounds,

Celtic Good Value to Land Away Win in Romania
Celtic continue their quest to reach the Champions League group stages on Wednesday evening with the first leg of their game against Romanian side CFR Cluj. The Bhoys travel away from home for the first leg, and backing them is always a tricky proposition as they don’t actually need to win the game and would be more than happy with a draw from it. However, they have impressed in the competition so far, won 7-0 in their first league game of the season at the weekend,

Ajax Fancied to Strike in Champions League Away Tie
It seems a little strange for a club as big as Ajax to be in the Champions League at this stage, but this is where they have to start. Despite reaching the semi final of the competition last season and knocking out some big guns including Real Madrid and Juventus, they have to qualify as the Eredivisie does not currently get a place in the group stages of the competition. That leaves them here, which gives them a tie with PAOK and a trip to Greece for the first leg on Tuesday.

Bristol City Tackle Leeds In Championship Opener
The Championship is back and after Luton & Middlesbrough put on a show for the world to see last night, it’s time to find out what the other 22 teams in the division are going to bring to the table. Two such examples are Bristol City and Leeds United, both clubs that have a lot of history on their side – and a great deal of disappointment, too. With both finishing in the top eight yet failing to make it to the playoff final,

Nottingham Forest & West Brom Aim For Strong Start
The Championship season is set to get underway tonight, but beyond that, we’re already interested in what is going to happen tomorrow as the majority of clubs kick things off with a good old fashioned Saturday afternoon encounter. Two such teams that fall into such a category are Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion. While nobody knows for sure what to expect from all 24 teams at this stage, we think it’s safe to say that both Forest and West Brom are going to be in the mix by the time we get around to the final few months of the season.

Aberdeen Fancied to Bounce Back from Disappointing Draw
Aberdeen will have been disappointed with the result and their performance last week when they travelled to Georgia. They are back home now on Thursday, with the game still finely in the balance and everything to play for. They will be hoping to perform better, and while they are capable of much better, they shouldn’t need to be too much better to get ahead and win this tie against a team who showed their limitations last week.

Tottenham Good Value to Beat Troubled Madrid
Is there a big football club with more troubles than Real Madrid right now? From the disaster of last season to the summer of uncertainty surrounding Gareth Bale, not a lot has gone right for the Spanish giants recently. They are desperate for a fresh start, though with Bale’s move to China not going through, it seems they will have to wait a little longer for that.
They face Tottenham on Tuesday evening in the Audi Cup,

UEFA Europa League Qualifying Continues This Week
The UEFA Europa League isn’t everyone’s favourite competition in the world, but for those involved, it plays an important role in their season – one way or another. It always feels as if people don’t really know or understand what the Europa League is all about unless they actually compete in it, which is a shame. This week will see the continuation of the competition, with just a few more rounds to go until we finally reach the group stages.
