Barcelona Face Valencia In Copa Del Rey Final
The curtain is set to come down on the Spanish football season this weekend, and what a season it has been. In terms of European competition it’s fair to say that the nation has been knocked off of its perch, although interestingly enough, both of the teams involved in this cup final were able to reach the semi finals of their respective competitions – something that nobody else managed in Spain. Still, we aren’t here to talk about that,

Monaco Look Good Value for Final Day Win in France
The final day of the Ligue 1 season is upon us, and on Friday night the clubs will take to the field for the final game of the regular season. Amongst those playing are Monaco, who have not had the easiest of seasons so far, but to be fair to them they have improved as time has passed, and the second half of the season has been much better than the first. They travel to Nice on the final day of the season,

A game between two clubs who spent the season in different divisions in Scotland, with the prize for the winner being a year in the top flight. St Mirren played in the Premiership last season, but ended up in the relegation playoff place after a poor campaign. Dundee United had a successful season in the Scottish Championship, although they couldn’t quite get automatic promotion, and eventually finished second in the league to bag a playoff spot.

What Does the Future Hold for Gareth Bale?
We could have a few big transfers this summer if you believe the rumour mill. One of the biggest looks set to be the move of Gareth Bale, with his destination currently unknown. Bale has had a troubled time in Real Madrid, which is strange as he has been there during a very successful period for them. They have won three Champions League titles during his time at the club, with Bale scoring in two of the finals.

Home Advantage to Secure Playoff Final for Paris FC
A huge night awaits both Paris FC and Lens on Tuesday. After a hard fought battle at the end of the Ligue 2 season, and three wins on the bounce to end their campaigns, both clubs have the chance to make the playoff final on Friday. The winner of that game will then go on to play for a place in Ligue 1, but that is thinking too far ahead for these two, they need to first concentrate on Tuesday.

Home Advantage Give Pompey the Edge
A place at Wembley and a chance to get back up into the Championship awaits Portsmouth and Sunderland. The Black Cats would be getting back up to the second tier at the first attempt after relegation last season while for Portsmouth it would be a return to somewhere near where they belong, after dropping down the divisions as far as League Two.
That was a team on a big downward spiral and with money problems that were forcing them to lose many of their top players.
Leeds Fancied to Reach Wembley after Derby Win
Who will take the final place in the Wembley playoff final in less than two weeks? Either Leeds or Derby will make it there, and that puts them one game away from the Premier League and what would be a huge moment for their club.

Aston Villa to Finish West Brom Off at The Hawthornes
Aston Villa are within touching distance of reaching their second Championship playoff final in two years. They suffered heartbreak last season at the hands of Fulham, but have every chance of going one better this time around. They have started well, and hold a 2-1 lead from the first leg of their tie with West Brom. A win or a draw at The Hawthornes and they are through to the final, and that is the bare minimum for this club and its expectant fans.
