Liverpool Can Take Three Points from Stamford Bridge
Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool head to London on Sunday for a meeting with Frank Lampard’s Chelsea. The two teams are expected to be up and around the top of the Premier League this season, although Liverpool are the ones with genuine title ambitions, while Chelsea will be aiming for a top four finish.
So far so good for The Redmen as they have five wins out of five and set the early pace in the Premier League. Their biggest rivals Manchester City are two points behind them, but with a game more played than Liverpool, a win here would take Liverpool five clear of them, although it is of course very early stages.
Chelsea are in 9th after the games on Saturday but a win for them would put them as high as third depending on goal difference, right where they need to be. They were impressive last weekend, scoring five past Wolves ina performance that was led by some very talented youngsters who are beginning to shine.
Liverpool won 3-1 at home to Newcastle to keep their winning run going, and again look to be very free scoring this season, something that should set us up for a very entertaining game at Stamford Bridge.
However, one thing both teams need to do is bounce back from a poor night in Europe on Tuesday. Liverpool were beaten in Italy by Napoli while Chelsea were beaten at home by Valencia, two games that the English clubs were both fancied to win.
Chelsea vs Liverpool Betting Tips
This game involves two very good teams, and on top of that, both teams have already shown this season that they love to attack, so I think we can expect plenty of goals. Chelsea are being led by youngsters while Liverpool have the same cool heads from last season that almost took them to a title, so as far as general Premier League and big game experience goes, Liverpool will feel more comfortable here, despite being away from home.
I think that is going to have a big say on what happens here too. This is another big test for the Chelsea youngsters, even more so because they are coming here on the back of a European defeat.
I think Liverpool are the better team, and the more experienced and those together will see them home here, so I am backing Liverpool to get the three points and take them back to Anfield with them.
