Leaders Los Angeles Take On Minnesota United
Major League Soccer continues to intrigue and fascinate fans from around the world – including within the United States of America itself. There are plenty of reasons to get excited about the prospect of the league’s fortunes going from strength to strength in the next few years, but right now, there’s still a lot to be optimistic about. Today, we’re going to take a look at a particularly intriguing encounter that will be contested between Los Angeles FC and Minnesota United as we get closer and closer to the MLS Cup playoffs getting underway later this year.
Los Angeles Football Club continues to go from strength to strength with each and every passing year, and given how young of a club they are, that’s a pretty frightening prospect. Their most recent six game stretch began in late July when they were able to edge out current champions Atlanta United in a hectic 4-3 game. The goals kept coming after they beat New England Revolution 2-0, before a 4-2 win over New York Red Bulls. They proceeded to defeat Real Salt Lake 2-0 before an emphatic 4-0 win over San Jose Earthquakes, and then in their last game, they drew 3-3 with local rivals LA Galaxy in El Trafico.
Minnesota, on the other hand, have been a little bit more inconsistent. Their most recent six game stretch began with a tight 0-0 draw against Vancouver, before they were able to get the best of Portland in a narrow 1-0 win. They went on to play out an absolutely outrageous 5-3 game with FC Dallas, but unfortunately, they were on the receiving end of it. They bounced back with a nice 1-0 win over Colorado before a 1-1 draw with Orlando City, and then in their last outing, they were disappointed to drop even more points in a 1-0 defeat to Sporting Kansas City.
LAFC vs Minnesota Betting Prediction
While it’s clear to see that Minnesota are capable of causing quite a few teams some problems this season, we don’t think they’ll be much of a threat to Los Angeles in this game. We can see the hosts riding out a wave of pressure from the visitors, before taking the lead and building on it. They’re on a whole other level to the majority of clubs in Major League Soccer this season and while there have been several occasions in which they’ve failed to live up to the hype, we just don’t think that’ll be the case here.
