In Form Malaga Value in Spanish Playoffs
The Spanish playoffs are still taking place, with a place in La Liga up for grabs to the winner. On Wednesday, Malaga travel to Deportivo with both clubs looking to progress. The winner of this two legged tie will take on the winner of the game between Mallorca and Albacete in a winner takes all game, with the winner of that becoming the 20th and final team to make it into the La Liga line up for the 2019/20 season.
Malaga come into this game in great form, and they are showing no signs of slowing down. They come into the playoffs on the back of five victories, and that has given them the chance to have home advantage in the second leg of this tie, which could turn out to be crucial. Deportivo have recorded four wins from their last seven, and lost just once in that time period so they are also playing well, although not as well as the team they take on here.
What could decide this game is how adventurous Malaga are, and if they want to win it, which is a potential problem with backing them in the first leg when they are away from home. However, with a strong winning run, and the right mindset, I think they will go out there with the intention of playing to win, and they are certainly good enough to win away against Deportivo.
Deportivo vs Malaga Betting Tips
The home side are playing well coming into this and they will feel they need to take something here to give themselves a chance going away at the weekend. However, Malaga are showing great form right now and confidence in the camp should be sky high. With five wins in the bag, I see no reason why they wouldn’t go to Deportivo and play to win. This is a small risk of course, but the odds on offer make that a worthwhile risk to take.
Although they don’t need to win, I am taking Malaga to win this game and get a huge advantage before their home second leg at the weekend. They could really kill the game off here with a good win, and cruise into the final which would not be a surprise to me at all. I’ll take the value on the away side in this one on Wednesday.
