Home Advantage Can See Brazil Over the Line against Argentina
Brazil vs Argentina, one of the biggest games in world football. These two meet in the first Copa America semi final on Wednesday, with a place in the final up for grabs. The winner will take on either Chile or Peru in the final, and whoever does make it through will be long odds on to win the tournament, and expected to beat their opponents.
Brazil are the favourites for this game as the hosts, but they haven’t really shown much other than glimpses of quality in the tournament so far. This was never really about the quality they have, but whether they could handle the pressure and expectation on them playing on home soil and coming into the tournament as heavy favourites. They have done that to a certain extent so far, although they would admit themselves that they have not been at their best.
Argentina have played well in parts, but again a lack of consistency has caused them problems. We have seen why they are one of the best teams in the world, and at the same time we have also seen why they struggled at the World Cup last summer, and what they need to work on moving forward.
With neither team playing too good, this game has a pretty even feel to it and it is certainly going to be an interesting one to watch. Brazil will have the majority of support in this one as the hosts, but that also means pressure on them and we have seen them struggle with that earlier in the tournament. That is likely to be the deciding factor here, can Brazil keep calm, handle the pressure on them and put together a solid game to knock Argentina out and reach the final?
Brazil vs Argentina Betting Tips
We think they can and that is why we are backing a Brazil win here. We haven’t seen them at their best just yet in this tournament, but the same can be said for Argentina too. This is going to be a huge game, with a big atmosphere and while that does add a little pressure to the home side, we also think it will get them over the line here.
This will no doubt be close, but the edge goes to Brazil and that is who we are backing.
