Fulham to Come Out on Top in All-London Clash
Of the three teams that were relegated from the Premier League to the Championship last season, Fulham were the ones who were expected to mount the best challenge for a quick return. An away trip to former League One side Barnsley on the opening day was an awakening to The Cottagers of just how tough this league is but since then they have performed very well and appear to be finding their feet in this division now.
On Wednesday night they host Millwall and a win here would be their third in a row, and give them nine points from a possible 12 which is a very solid start. Having kept a good part of their squad from the Premier League together, there is no doubt that Fulham have one of the best squads in the Championship and anything less than the playoffs would probably be seen as a disappointment for them. To get into the talk for promotion, they must win the majority of their home games and games like this one are simply games which they should be taking three points from.
Millwall continue to establish themselves as a Championship club, although it is more than likely the bottom half of the table we will be seeing them in, and not the top. Having said that, they do look a little better than those who are fancied for relegation, and while remaining clear of that will be their number one aim, a good season for them would involve pushing towards mid table as much as they can. They are a decent team, although when you look at the players they have, they should come unstuck a little against the bigger clubs in this division, especially away from home like they are here.
Fulham vs Millwall Betting Tips
Fulham won their only home game in convincing style when they beat Blackburn and followed that up with a good win at Huddersfield last Friday. Now they are looking to make it three wins in a row and have been dealt a perfect opportunity to do so here. Millwall are no more than your average Championship side, and Fulham should have no trouble in beating them on Wednesday.
We like Fulham as far as promotion goes this season, and we are backing them to record their third win in a row here as their good start continues.
