Free Flowing Uruguay Fancied to Comfortably Beat Japan
Anyone who saw Uruguay open up their Copa America campaign with a fantastic 4-0 victory over Ecuador will no doubt have been impressed. They had a great flow about their game, winning the ball back in midfield before allowing their attacking players to do their thing and create plays. That all resulted in four goals on the night and to be honest, that was a fair reflection of the game, Uruguay were very impressive and look genuine contenders for the trophy this summer.
Japan did exactly the opposite in their opening game. They were beaten 4-0 by Chile, and simply didn’t have an answer for their opponents. Defensively they were poor, and on the few occasions they did have the ball they lacked any real control and quality on it, both of those together are not good signs for the rest of the tournament.
With Cavani and Suarez leading the line for them, this Uruguay team will always fancy themselves to score goals, and unless Japan change how they defend and look a lot better, we could be seeing another 4-0 score line in this game.
Uruguay vs Japan Betting Tips
Both teams come here on the back of 4-0 games, with Uruguay winning theirs and Japan losing to Chile in theirs. If Japan play here like they did in that opening game then they could well be on for another drubbing, with Uruguay looking like they are a confident, attacking team who can score plenty of goals.
There appears to only be one winner here and that is Uruguay although from a betting point of view they are very short to win. Instead, to add value, and because I think they are going to win this game with ease, we will back them on the -1 handicap line, which raises the price a little.
I’m not concerned over them scoring, they should get at least a couple here unless Japan improve beyond recognition from their opening game. The first game for Uruguay was very impressive to the eye and if they follow that up with another big win here then many people are going to start talking about them as potential winners of this tournament, especially with both Brazil and Argentina struggling a little in their opening games.
