Everton Fancied to Beat Villa on Friday Night
The Premier League weekend begins on Friday this week, with Everton travelling to face newly promoted Aston Villa. It has been a solid start for The Toffees, with a draw on the opening day of the season followed up by a win last weekend. However, it is fair to say they have been far from their best so far, but as they have plenty of experience in their squad, they have been able to pick up points despite not quite clicking.
In many ways, the start has been similar for Aston Villa. They have struggled to make things click 100%, but their lack of experience in the top tier has also been highlighted as a negative. Villa led 1-0 at Tottenham on the opening day, only to lose the game 3-1 and they played Bournemouth at home last weekend, the kind of game they should be winning, but were beaten 2-1. We have seen glimpses from them, and they have spent a lot of money this summer to build a team that can do more than just survive, but so far they have not got it going. I do expect Villa to eventually get away from trouble and look a lot better than we have seen so far, but right now they look like a team that needs a few more games to get themselves together and playing as a unit.
There is also more to come from Everton, I am sure of that. However, with the experience they have and the fewer new faces, I expect them to come together much quicker. We saw a little more intent from them last weekend, I think we will see more here this weekend and if that is the case then I think they can come away from Villa Park with all three points.
Aston Villa vs Everton Betting Tips
The first of many games this weekend in the Premier League, with newcomers Aston Villa taking on Everton at Villa Park. I don’t think we have seen the best of either of these two teams just yet, and more is to come as the season develops.
However, what we have seen from Everton is enough to get the better of Aston Villa, especially with how they are playing so far. I am backing an away win here, with Everton taking the three points home with them from Villa Park.
