Celtic to Ease Through Champions League First Leg
It is round two of the Champions League qualifying stage for Celtic and they begin this tie with a home game at Celtic Park against Nomme Kalju. The Estonian team will be thrilled to get to this stage, whereas Celtic are expected to go further and make a genuine push to make the group stages of either this competition or the Europa League.
That shows the difference in quality between these two when we are talking about the two teams, and it is for this reason why I think it is going to be a very comfortable night for Celtic. With this game being at home, they will want to wrap things up in this first leg and go away to Estonia without any troubles.
The away team will be ready to face a barrage of chances and if they concede an early goal, the flood gates could well open up here. They have to be wary of that, and if they are to keep this score line respectable then the first 20 minutes is going to be vital for them. Expect them to come to Celtic Park and play with 11 men behind the ball, doing all they can to keep Celtic at bay, although I don’t personally think this is a tactic that will work for them.
Celtic vs Nomme Kalju Betting Tips
In effect, this is still pre-season for Neil Lennon’s despite them playing two competitive games so far. This is another competitive game that won’t be too much of a test and if they need to they can rotate players and rest who they need to.
Regardless of the team they put out here, I think they are in for a comfortable night and I don’t see them easing off too much against Nomme Kalju as I think they will want to score enough goals to kill this tie off in one game. That is why not only am I backing Celtic tonight, but I’m going to back them on the handicap line, which is at -3. This means they need to win by four goals or more, but with them attacking for the full 90 minutes and not easing off, I think this is more than possible for them.
This looks set to be another very comfortable night for Celtic, and I am backing them to record a big victory here.
