Celtic Fancied to Bring Home Advantage in Champions League Tie
While the start for Celtic in their Champions League qualifying stage doesn’t look the easiest of away trips in terms of where they are travelling to, it does look to be a game they can win, which will make their second leg a comfortable night at home. They travel to Bosnia on Tuesday night to take on Sarajevo FC, a game they are rightfully favourites for.
The reason why Celtic are a backable price in this one is simply the place they are going to visit. If you compare these two teams on paper then there is no doubt that Celtic are by far the stronger team, and the ones that should be winning this tie with ease. That is exactly what I think they will do, they have a lot of European experience in their line up, and players who have played in tough environments before so I don’t see this affecting them too much.
The Bosnians will of course be looking to cause an upset here and this is a big occasion for them, however, as I have said, I just simply don’t see them having the quality to do so. Getting to the latter stages of this competition is a must for Celtic, and if they don’t manage to qualify for the group stages of either this competition or the Europa League then questions will be asked of them.
The only slight concern is that this game comes very early in the summer for Celtic, their players will still be getting fit and ready for the new season, so it is not an ideal time for them to play. Despite that though, they should have enough in the tank for this game, and they know a win here would likely seal the tie on the first night, allowing them to rest and rotate players ahead of the second game at Celtic Park.
Sarajevo FC vs Celtic Betting Tips
Getting control of this tie is exactly what I am expecting Celtic to do here. They won’t want to leave things until the second leg, and know they have an opportunity to almost wrap things up in Bosnia. This is an experienced squad that can handle playing in a tough environment and I think Celtic look to be a great bet to come home with a valuable advantage from the first leg of this tie on Tuesday night.
