Celtic Can Make Home Advantage Count Against Rosenborg
Celtic are edging closer to the Champions League group stages after a solid win last week and the next team to stand in their way are Rosenborg. The Norwegian club are a good team to be playing at this stage, and Celtic will have to be wary of them, but there is no doubt that if the Scottish team play to the best of their ability, they are more than capable of winning this one.
Celtic have the advantage of playing their first leg at home, and this will hopefully allow them to build up a lead to take with them to Norway next week. There will certainly be no let up from the Scottish team, manager Brendan Rodgers will have them primed to take advantage of any opportunity Rosenborg give them, because he would love nothing more than to wrap this tie up after the first leg. This would allow them to head over to Norway for what could be a tough game without any pressure, knowing they are in the driving seat.
This looks likely to be a very tough night for the Norwegian’s and I can see nothing other than a big defeat for them as Celtic pile on the pressure.
Celtic vs Rosenborg Betting Tips
Unlike in many other games where Celtic would try to defend the lead they had in a game, they are going to go all out and attack for the full 90 minutes here to do all they can to take a big lead to Norway with them. If they are 2-0 up, don’t expect them to stop, instead expect them to be on the look out for a third. With a situation like this ahead of us for the first leg, instead of using the normal betting markets to place a bet, look for the handicap betting that is available to use and back Celtic to win big.
Celtic are a short price to win the game but by using the handicap market you can add value to the bet. Celtic -1 looks to have a great chance of winning and is a far bigger price than them to win the game on the standard win market. This means Celtic need to win by two clear goals or more, but they are going to attack all game and that is something I think they can do.
I’m expect a big win from the Scottish giants, and backing them on the handicap market at -1 is the best way forward.
