Bristol City Can Take Advantage of Poor QPR
The start of the Championship campaign has been very disappointing for Bristol City, but they can finally get their first win of the season on Tuesday night. They travel to QPR, a team who have been disappointing themselves and come here on the back of a dreadful 7-1 defeat to West Brom. While neither have been performing well so far, Bristol City are by far the better team in this game and they look a good bet in the second tier of English football on Tuesday.
In all competitions, City have drawn two and lost two so far, with their draws coming against Nottingham Forest and Bolton. Defeats to Plymouth in the EFL Cup and top of the table Middlesbrough have taken the shine off their start, and they will be looking to get their first win on the board when they travel to London. They performed very well last season, and are more than capable of finishing in the top half, something which cannot be said about struggling QPR.
It has been a very poor start for QPR, they have lost all three of their Championship games so far, and sit bottom of the league on goal difference. They kept things tight against both Preston and Sheffield United, losing by just the odd goal but were torn apart by West Brom on Saturday. A 7-1 defeat showed there is a lot of work left to do at QPR, and they appear to be in for a very tough season, with relegation looking like a real possibility for them. Things need to change quickly and while playing at home will help them and give them a chance, this looks to be a tough ask and another defeat could be on the cards.
QPR vs Bristol City Betting Tips
QPR are struggling but they do have the fact that Bristol City haven’t started brightly going in their favour. However, that and the fact they are at home are all they have going for them in this one. When comparing the teams on paper there is no doubt that Bristol City are the better team, and I expect them to eventually climb the table, with a mid table finish looking likely. Things haven’t gone to plan so far, but in their first two games of the season they picked up a point, and showed enough their to make them of interest in this one.
The betting on this game is surprising, the bookmakers have QPR priced up as favourites to win, whereas I would have priced up Bristol City as the favourites. The value is all with the away team and their price is very appealing, making them the bet in this one.
It looks as though it is only a matter of time before Bristol City pick up a win, the same cannot be said for QPR and looking at the two teams on paper, Bristol City have to be backed here. The bookmakers are offering a generous price by not making them favourites, and they look to be the best punt on Tuesday night in England.
