Arsenal Can Keep Pre Season Form Up By Beating Angers
Arsenal are five games through their pre-season, with a further two to go. They have won three of their five so far, impressing in parts and they will be looking to end things well. On Wednesday they travel to France to take on Angers in what is a perfect opportunity for them to put their fourth win on the board as they continue to get ready for the Premier League season, which is now just over a week away.
After a year in charge, Arsenal fans will be hoping Unai Emery can show some kind of improvement this season based on what we saw from them last season. They finished in the top six, but couldn’t break into the top four and were beaten in the Europa League final by Chelsea. The top four has to be their aim, and that may not be too much of a stretch either, with Manchester United struggling to get things going and Chelsea appointing rookie Frank Lampard to take charge. The top two look as though they are set once again, but places 3 to 6 are up for grabs.
After playing this game, Arsenal will go to Spain where they will face Barcelona next Sunday in what will be their final pre-season game. That will set them up for their Premier League start the following Sunday, and across this game and the one against Barcelona I think we can expect to see plenty of the first team squad given serious minutes as they put the finishing touches together on things.
Angers vs Arsenal Betting Tips
Angers are getting themselves ready for their Ligue 1 campaign but this is an incredibly tough test for them. Arsenal have a very good squad and one that is full of players who are comfortable playing and travelling around Europe.
They can put that experience to good use here, and with players expected to play big parts of this game, they can take home the win. This is one of two games they have remaining and a final attempt for some to make an impact on those watching and thinking about who will be in and around the squad.
All of this points to a win for The Gunners as far as I’m concerned as they look to continue what has been a decent pre-season so far.
